My name is Miltos Petridis. This Web site is a portal for various business, research, special interest and personal web sites that I run for myself, businesses and organisations I am closely involved in and my family. It is also meant to provide a main point of contact for people who want to contact me and for various information about myself, my activities and those of my immediate family.

The key elements of my activities are:

  •  Heading the Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG) at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, at Middlesex University, London
  • Research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Case Based Reasoning, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing and Data Mining. Heading the Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG) at Middlesex.
  • Enterprise activities (knowledge transfer projects, consultancy and short courses) in collaboration with industry, mainly through the KEG in Brighton.
  • Teaching, mainly at Masters Level, in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and previously in Software Engineering Development and Management. Also supervising student projects and PhD students.
  • Freelance consultancy in Knowledge Engineering, so-called "Big Data" problems, Software Engineering, Intelligent systems, Business Intelligence, Knowledge Management and general Computing.
  • Professional bodies involvement, mainly as membership secretary for the BCS Specialist group in AI (SGAI)  and member of the committee of CPHC (Council o Professors and Head of Computing)
  • Conference organisation, mainly the AI-2018 and 23rd UKCBR
  • Having a life outside computing (well, my smartphone and emails are never too far!)
